According to the lecture, a computer is an electronic machine that is capable of performing calculations on various types of information by using a stored set of instructions. Eventhough this is true, I have come to ask myself recently what exaclty is a computer? Is it just the device that I like to sit at home on and surf the web, play games, and look at blackboard, and bring to class for notes? Or are multiple new technologies we use in our everyday lives a computer as well? For example itouch, and iphones. You can do just as much on these devices that you can do on a desktop or laptop. I believe that in the future, computers and phones are going to merge into one device.
~Sarah Thompson
@01119183
